Personnel from U.S. Coast Guard Station Eastport, Maine, the Canadian coast guard and air force and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police worked together to respond to several simulated distress calls near Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Aug. 25-26, 2009, during their annual training together. Station Eastport is the most northeastern Coast Guard unit in the continental United States, located at the border of the U.S. and Canada, and periodically works with Canadian authorities during search and rescue cases.
