HOUSTON - In this video by the U.S. Coast Guard, an Air Station Houston MH-65 rescue helicopter crew conducts an overflight of the crash site of a civilian helicopter, 2-miles off the coast of Sabine Pass, Texas, Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008.
This video shows the cutter Heron within the perimeter of the crash site. Floats from the downed helicopter can also be seen in the water.
The helicopter crew was bound for an unmanned rig approximately 18-miles off the coast of Sabine Pass with five passengers onboard.
The Coast Guard launched an MH-65 rescue helicopter crew, a small rescue boat crew from Station Sabine and the cutter Heron to assist in the search.
