Bering Sea -- Boarding Team crewmembers from the Coast Guard Cutter Sherman conducted several boardings in the month of November. Boarding teams operate in Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats and board vessels to prevent violations of U.S. law. Boardings consist of inspecting fishing licenses and permits , crew proficiency in emergency alarms and drills, keeping of logbooks and inspecting safety and firefighting equipment.

The Coast Guard Cutter Sherman is one of 12 378-foot High Endurance Cutters and is homeported in Alameda, Calif. The Sherman is on a 2-month long Alaska Patrol. U.S. Coast Guard video by Petty Officer Eric Swanson.
