BARROW, Alaska - A Coast Guard 25-foot response boat operates in the Arctic Ocean during Operation Salliq Aug. 8, 2008. Two small boats operated several miles offshore and rendezvoused with the Coast Guard Icebreaker Healy. The operation was the Coast Guard's first land based forward operating location in the Arctic and was tasked with testing the capabilities of assets and missions in the region.
