TERREBONNE, La.- Coast Guard Lt. j.g. Dan McQuate, the chief of response at the Marine Safety Unit in Houma, La., conducts assessment patrols on shore after hurricane Gustav at Port Fourchon in the LaFourche Parish, La., Sept. 3, 2008. McQuate was looking for pollution, sunken vessels and any hazards to waterway navigation around the 600-acre facility that services about 250 ships a day.
