July 16, 2008 The United States Coast Guard, Navy and Malaysian Armed Forces complete a series of missions in the village of Kijal, Malaysia. Volunteers provided medical treatment, advice and medicine to students and residents of Kijal, and an expansion was built onto the local school. The Coast Guard Cutter Morgenthau is here with the Navy conducting the annual Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training exercise. The mission is designed as a cross training opportunity for the Coast Guard, Navy and host countries, but is also a staging point for several missions of goodwill.
