(Sept. 13, 2007) ONBOARD THE USCGC BOUTWELL - Footage of the Lu Rong Yu 6007 fishing vessel transferred from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Boutwell to the Chinese Fisheries Law Enforcement Command (FLEC). The Boutwell boarded the vessel suspected of high seas drift net fishing while deployed as U.S. Coast Guard representatives for the North Pacific Coast Guard Forum (NPCGF). This forum was developed to increase international maritime safety and security of the Northern Pacific Ocean and its borders, and to decrease the amount of high seas drift net fisherman.
