The Coast Guard and the Navy responded to the 41-foot sailboat, Ahimsa, that was taking on water and the captain was in medical distress approximately 242 miles off Virginia Beach, Va., Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., hoisted four people from the Ahimsa around 1:30 a.m. Friday and took them to the air station where they declined further medical assistance.
