Airmen from the New Jersey Air National Guard's 108th and 177th Wings conduct a weekend long training for a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) at Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, New Jersey. The QRF, which includes New Jersey’s Army National Guard, can be activated by the governor, not just to help fellow citizens in the event of a natural disaster, e.g. Hurricane Sandy, but also to protect key resources in the event of a civil disturbance or other security threat. The training consists of one day of classroom instruction followed by a day of outside, hands-on training. (U.S. Air National Guard TSgt Carl Clegg/ Released) Available in High Definition.
