The Maryland Army National Guard held its change of command ceremony at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore, Md. November 2. The outgoing commander of the Maryland Army National Guard, Brig. Gen. Peter C. Hinz, Assistant Adjutant General of the Army branch for the past three years, retires after a 40-year military career. The incoming ATAG, Brig. Gen. Linda L. Singh, who worked as the director of the joint staff, is the first woman and first African-American to command the take command of the Army branch.
