In 2009, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District collaborated with Colorado State University to construct a wave overtopping facility as part of CSU’s Engineering Research Center. The facility is the largest in the world, capable of simulating waves from extreme storm conditions.
