A 56-foot fishing boat, the Jessica Heather, homeported in Atlantic City, was freed from the sand Monday at about 6:30 p.m. after the boat ran aground near The Pier Shops at Caesars shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.
Coast Guard Marine Environmental Response Personnel worked with state and local responders to maintain a safety zone and monitor the situation. A local tow company re-floated the vessel during high tide and took the boat to Barney’s Marina in Atlantic City.
No injuries or pollution have been reported. The Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
