In-light of the Secretary of Defense's recent statements and comments promoting a culture change surrounding Sexual assaults in the military. the Hawaii Air National Guard declared a Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Stand-Down, and had nearly 2000 Airman in attendance during August's Unit Training Assembly. While being briefed en masse on the current situation in the military guardsmen and women were provided with historical examples, and the senior leadership made the Hawaii National Guard position clear.
