B-Roll of the opening ceremony of Khaan Quest 2013 in Mongolia. This exercise involves more than 1000 members from 14 nations, including first-time participants Nepal and Tajikistan. The goal is to strengthen interoperability between military forces with a focus on peacekeeping missions such as engineering and medical. The ceremony was held at the Five Hills Training Center in Mongolia. U.S. participants include U.S. Marine Forces Pacific, and the Alaska and Washington Army National Guards.
