CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait – (July 4, 2013) Soldiers of the 1-189th General Support Aviation Battalion, 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, do an Independence Day shout out to their friends and family back home. The 1-189th is from the Montana Army National Guard and is headquartered in Helena, Montana, but is currently deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The battalion, commanded by Lt. Col. Jamie Wilkins of Ennis, Montana, includes National Guard Soldiers from Alaska, Kentucky and Indiana, and an Active Duty unit from Germany.
