Marines with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, present the Bronze Star Medal with Combat V for valor to the family of Cpl. Gurpreet Singh, a fire team leader who served with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, and was killed in action in Sangin district, Helmand Province, Afghanistan on June 22, 2011. Singh, a native of Punjab, India, who immigrated to Sacramento, Calif., led his Marines
through intense fighting during the Spring Offensive and was struck on his body armor during a firefight. The award ceremony was held May 30, 2012. The footage was shot using a static camera. Also available in high definition.
