FORT IRWIN, NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, Calif. – Marines and Sailors with
Maritime Raid Force, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a helicopter assault
exercise on Fort Irwin, National Training Center, Calif., during Ground Realistic
Urban Training, May 6, 2013. Ground RUT is a nine-day exercise that spans three
states and will utilize the 13th MEU’s full spectrum of aviation, ground combat and
logistics assets to prepare them for their upcoming Western Pacific Deployment
