The 25th Infantry Division activates its Lightning Academy during a ceremony at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The Academy will be a multilateral, multi-service training hub for the Pacific region. Courses will include Pre-Ranger, Tactical Weapons, Air Assault, Combatives, and leadership training. During the ceremony, several soldiers assigned to the Academy performed a demonstration of some of the skills that students will learn, such as rappelling, combatives, and tactical movements.
