U.S. Air Force Pararescuemen, National Park Service Rangers and local fire and rescue crews respond to a mass casualty exercise at the Grand Canyon, Ariz during Exercise Angel Thunder 2013. Angel Thunder is the world's largest Personnel Recovery exercise, supporting the DoD which affirms Personnel Recovery as "One of the Highest Priorities." AT provides the most realistic PR training environment available to USAF Rescue forces, as well as their Joint, Interagency, and International partners from Brazil to Uruguay. AT is collaborating with Air Force Special Operation Command's Emerald Warrior and the US Navy 3rd Fleet JWFC Training and Exercise, and the U.S. Army and Air Force Reserve's Global Medic exercises.
