More than 100 Marines with 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) participate in the 2013 Sexual Assault Awareness Month ceremony aboard the USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) while at sea March 28, 2013. The crew of the Carter Hall organized the event, which included signing a pledge board and a walk around the flight deck to express each service member's commitment to the cause. The 26th MEU is currently deployed to the 6th Fleet area of operation. The MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force. The MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response, and limited contingency operations. (U.S. Marine Corps motion media by Staff Sgt.
