Various aircraft with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262 (Reinforced) conducted night-time take off and landing operations from the deck of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6). Flying CH-46E Sea Knight, CH-53 Super Stallion, UH-1Y Venom and AH-1W Super Cobra helicopters were landed by pilots using night vision goggles on the darkened, bobbing ship.
