The 3rd Airlift Squadron, 436th Airlift Wing from Dover Air Force Base performed the first C-17 Globemaster III transportation flight on January 22, 2013 from Base Aerienne 125, Istres, France to Bamako, Mali in support of the French military. Flight included French personnel, military equipment, and vehicles. Stringer includes an Interview with 1st Lietenant Nick Bente, C-17 pilot, 3rd Airlift Squadron, 436th Airlift Wing.
