U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk helicopters transport ammunition to the flight deck of USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), off the coast of US Naval Station Norfolk, VA, in preparation for their Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), Jan. 19, 2013. COMPTUEX is the final phase for the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Amphibious Squadron 4 six-month pre-deployment training program. The 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
