Interview of Airman 1st Class Matthew Phillips, Radio Operator Maintainer and Driver or ROMAD (Row-Mad), 124th Air Support Operations Squadron, as he trains and helps conduct live fire ground support for a variety of aircraft, including F-16 Fighting Falcons, and A-10 Thunderbolt II’s. Airman Phillips is helping to support exercises Cactus Starfighter out of Luke AFB and Snowbird out of Davis-Monthan AFB. A ROMAD helps Joint Terminal Attack Controllers direct aircraft with close air support to ground combat operations.
