Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast destroying more homes than Hurricane Katrina. The amount of water the storm surge brought was enough to bring the bustling city to a halt.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers pumped enough water out of the city to fill 720 Olympic sized swimming pools.
