As part of the pre-deployment training of Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, Marines from across the spectrum of military occupational specialties trained in the operation of the M240G machine gun and M249 squad automatic weapon systems. Operating on the ground as well as from High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle turrets, 34 CLB-31 Marines honed their machine-gunning skills to remain ready for any contingency.
