Members of 17th fires brigade spent just under three weeks at Yakima Training Center performing a wide variety of training scenarios and missions. Soldiers set up forward operating bases and fended off an opposing force to simulate combat. Soldiers trained to engage enemy targets using both convoy and dismounted tactics. Members of the high mobility artillery rocket system crews also carried out live fire training and enemy evasion tactics; something soldiers say is vital to a unit’s readiness.
