Soldiers from the U.S. Army Pacific Contingency Command Post, 25th Inf. Div, and the 307 Signal BN deployed to Tonga to take part in "Coral Reef", a humanitarian assistance and disaster relief exercise Sep. 21. CCP Soldiers primarily belong to the Humanitarian Assistance Survey Team who are trained to respond to natural disasters anywhere in the Pacific and can deploy within 24 hours. After a disaster strikes, the HAST conducts assessments on key infrastructure providing the USARPAC Commander with vital information on what the U.S. military can provide to assist the affected nation.
