Sgt. Joe Villines takes us out to the deserts of northern Kuwait where soldiers compete for top honors as the Best Warrior over three tough days in the heat and dust during the last week of April.

Jeremy Jackson, from Albuquerque, N.M., an infantryman with A Co., 1/200th Infantry Regiment, from Rio Rancho, N.M., assigned to Task Force Sinai in Egypt, earned the title of Best Warrior in the non-commissioned officer category. He talks about the experience, his willingness to compete at the next level, and getting home to see his daughter born. Jackson has been in the Army for 7 years and is on his 3rd deployment since 2007.
