IMCOM hosted Army Family Action Plan Conference opening ceremonies for the 2012 Army wide discussion. The conference allows volunteers, civilians and Soldiers to come together in an array of working groups to discuss and provide solutions to a variety of concerns that affect Soldiers and their family members stationed around the world. They are also able to re-look programs that are currently in place and make recommendations to modify or delete those that may be outdated or need fine tuning to meet the current needs. These solution sets are then presented to the highest leaders of the Army including Sec. Army, the CSA and SMA for review, who then advocate on the Army's behalf for changes in funding or policy that will support the ideas and programs developed from this group.
