Bystander intervention training has been identified as a best practice
for engaging Marines in their role in sexual assault prevention. As a
result, new video-based bystander intervention training was developed for
corporals and sergeants. This training, titled "Take a Stand,"
emphasizes the responsibility Marines have to one another. Taught by
specially trained uniformed victim advocates, this innovative,
interactive training will instill an awareness of the profound impact
sexual assault has on the victim and provide real-time strategies on when
and how to intervene to protect a fellow Marine. This is a short clip of
the training footage.
***It's important to note that the videos are just tools within the
training. The videos themselves aren't the training.
