Just recently, the 418th Flight Test Squadron, along with NASA, were part of a record-breaking flight test event that involved an Edwards C-17. The 418th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to testing cargo limits and just recently the 418th and NASA set a new weight record by extracting an 85,000-pound jumbo drop test vehicle, or JDTV, out of a C-17A.
