Personnel and aircraft from Kadena Air Base's 31stRQS, 33rdRQS, 353rdSOG, deploy to Yokota Air Base to support the earthquake humanitarian and relief effort in Japan. HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters from Kadena Air Base, Okinawa transport supplies, equipment and personnel to locations that cannot accommodate large fixed wing aircraft. Yokota Air Base has become a location for staging airlift of aircraft, personnel and equipment. Other countries contributing to the relief effort include New Zealand and Australia. jpearthquake11
