B-roll of the Iron Dog Race. The Alaska National Guard is the sponsor for the Iron Dog, considered to be the world's longest, toughest snowmobile race. The Alaska National Guard has two racers in the competition, Alaska Army National Guardsmen Sgt. Maj. Pamela Harrington and Sgt. 1st Class Elaine Jackson. They are the only female team competing and will be racing over 2,000 miles from Big Lake, Alaska to Nome and on to Fairbanks. If they finish they will be only the second female team to finish in the history of the Iron Dog and the first since 2001.Also available in high definition.
