In this news story released by the Texas Military forces, soldiers from the 836th Engineer Company train with the Response International Group in search and extraction exercises in Oklahoma City, Okla., Jan. 29, 2011. The 836th are enhancing their skills to become a vital asset in the Joint Task Force 71’s Homeland Response Force mission. This training will help the Texas National Guard’s goal of becoming an effective support unit to local first responders.
