U.S. Marines with 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, and Sailors with Assault Craft Unit 5, Naval Beach Group 1, Expeditionary Strike Group 3, conduct forward arming and refueling point training with a Landing Craft Air Cushion at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 9, 2026. This training validated I MEF and ACU-5’s ability to rapidly establish an LCAC-supported FARP as well as refine tactics for long-range operations in a contested environment, strengthening Navy-Marine Corps interoperability in support of distributed aviation operations.
