U.S. Marines with the chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense element, 2d Marine Logistics Group, and U.S. Navy Corpsmen with 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, train alongside Swedish Armed Forces personnel during exercise Archipelago Endeavor 26 in Sweden, Aug. 21–Sept. 11, 2026. The Swedish Armed Forces-led exercise focused on bilateral CBRN defense response and medical crisis care, bringing U.S. and Swedish personnel together to strengthen interoperability and combined readiness in the Baltic Sea littoral environment. Throughout the exercise, U.S. and Swedish forces conducted CBRN reconnaissance, casualty decontamination, medical stabilization, patient movement, and continued care, practicing how specialized capabilities connect throughout the casualty response process. The training provided U.S. and Swedish personnel an opportunity to exchange knowledge, refine procedures, and build familiarity while operating together in a challenging environment. Archipelago Endeavor 26 strengthens bilateral interoperability, littoral defense capabilities, and tactical cooperation while demonstrating the readiness of U.S. and Swedish forces to operate together in support of regional security and collective defense.
