OWENSBORO, Ky. — U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Brandon Guevara, a demonstration parachutist with the U.S. Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights, films Sgt. 1st Class Erik Dolores as he carries a large American drop flag into the Owensboro Air Show in Owensboro, Kentucky, Sept. 12, 2026.
Thousands of feet above the Ohio River, the Golden Knights opened the show with the precision, teamwork and airborne expertise that represent the U.S. Army around the world. Guevara captured the jump from the air while Department of the Army civilian Frank Strumila filmed the team’s arrival from the ground.
Assigned to U.S. Army Recruiting Command, the Golden Knights connect America with its Army through high-performance parachuting demonstrations, competition and community outreach.
