The 24th Theater Public Affairs Support Element (TPASE) stepped behind the scenes at ABC-7 in El Paso, Texas, for a firsthand look at the fast-paced world of broadcast journalism.
During the station tour, Soldiers explored the newsroom, control room and studio while learning how local media develops, produces and delivers stories to the community. The visit also gave public affairs professionals an opportunity to strengthen relationships with local media partners and better understand the demands of live television.
The experience culminated with members of the 24th TPASE going live on air, putting their communication skills to the test and sharing the Army story with viewers across the El Paso community.
