Soldiers from the 1st Armored Division, local first responders and community members ascend the steps of Sun Bowl Stadium during the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in El Paso, Texas, Sept. 11, 2026. Hosted by the UTEP Army ROTC program, the event challenged participants to climb the equivalent of 110 stories in honor of the first responders who died on Sept. 11, 2001.
