A U.S. Coast Guard Station Washington 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew conducts recreational and commercial safety boardings in Washington D.C. on Labor Day, September 7, 2026. The boardings were a part of the Coast Guard East District’s Operation Safe Voyage which is a combined effort across the district’s area of responsibility to combat illegal passenger-for-hire operations and promote safety on the waterways.
