U.S. Marines with the chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense element, 2d Marine Logistics Group, U.S. Navy Corpsmen with 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, members of the Swedish Home Guard 296 CBRN Platoon, and Swedish service members with 2nd Naval Combat Service Support Battalion participate in a closing ceremony for Exercise Archipelago Endeavor 26 in Berga, Sweden, Sept. 7, 2026. The ceremony included a Swedish regimental tradition, as well as friendly competitions between U.S. Marines and Swedish service members including a litter relay, bench press competition, and tug of war. Combined training between U.S. Marines and the Swedish Armed Forces focused on CBRN defense, medical crisis response, and amphibious operations. Archipelago Endeavor 26 strengthens bilateral interoperability, littoral defense capabilities, and tactical cooperation while demonstrating the readiness of U.S. and Swedish forces to operate together in the Baltic Sea region.
