U.S. Marines assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 773 and Marine Aviation and Logistics Squadron (MALS) 49 participate in a forward arming and refueling point training at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Aug. 27, 32026. FARP’s are a temporary mobile facility deployed close to an area of operations to refuel and rearm aircraft in austere locations, maximizing combat operational reach and reducing turnaround time. Readiness exercises ensure personnel are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully complete missions in training operations and combat zones.
