U.S. Army Pfc. Naydelin Ruiz, assigned to the 18th Finance Battalion, 3rd Corps Sustainment Command, and Capt. James Gessler, assigned to U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), fire the M17 pistol during the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Sept. 1, 2026. Competitors fire five rounds at three targets positioned 25 meters away, with five hits earning gold, four earning silver and three earning bronze.
