Scott Barry, director of the CVN Readiness Operations Center, explains how the newly established center is improving the Navy’s ability to monitor aircraft carrier readiness. The ROC uses recurring, near-real-time fleet information in a centralized environment, allowing personnel to review and analyze carrier data, identify potential operational impacts and address maintenance concerns before they affect fleet readiness. The CVN Readiness Operations Center officially opened during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, June 11, 2026. (U.S. Navy video by Zachary Wickline)
