Naval Air Force Atlantic highlights the Battle of the Eastern Solomons and the role of USS Enterprise (CV-6) and USS Saratoga (CV-3) in the Pacific during World War II. The August 1942 battle disrupted Japanese efforts to reinforce Guadalcanal and contributed to the Allied campaign for control of the Solomon Islands.
