U.S. Marines with 2nd Marine Logistics Group, U.S. Navy Corpsmen with 4th Marine Logistics Group, and members of the Swedish Home Guard 296 Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Platoon and 2nd Naval Combat Service Support Battalion conduct combined CBRN and medical response training during Exercise Archipelago Endeavor 26 in Berga, Sweden, Sept. 4, 2026. Combined training between U.S. Marines and the Swedish Armed Forces was focused on CBRN defense, medical crisis response, and amphibious operations, bringing CBRN and medical personnel together to respond to injured personnel following a simulated hazardous-area mission. U.S. and Swedish CBRN personnel conducted decontamination of simulated casualties before transitioning them to medical personnel for treatment, evacuation, and continued care at a field medical facility. Archipelago Endeavor 26 strengthens bilateral interoperability, littoral defense capabilities, and tactical cooperation while demonstrating the readiness of U.S. and Swedish forces to operate together in the Baltic Sea region.
