The 241st Engineering Installation Squadron (EIS), provided fiber-optic capabilities to temporary structures August 17-29, 2026, at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. The technical upgrades allow fire and emergency services to maintain operational agility while construction continues in various parts of the installation.
The Tennessee-based Airmen worked closely with the 214th EIS from Naval Air Station-Joint Reserve Base (NAS-JAB) in New Orleans, LA to share the best practices in their field as both units consistently construct, reconstitute, and/or replace communication systems across the U.S. and abroad.
