U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptors assigned to the 90th Fighter Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and the 27th Fighter Squadron, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, taxi and take off from Kadena Air Base, Japan, Aug. 14-Sep. 1, 2026. The aircraft are deployed to Kadena as part of a rotational fighter presence that maintains continuous and credible combat airpower while supporting readiness and deterrence across the Pacific.
