Col. Lourdes Costas, outgoing commander of the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade, and Jaimee Deel, traumatic brain injury clinic representative at Reynolds Army Health Clinic, encourage Fort Sill Soldiers to recognize the signs of a concussion and seek care when needed.
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury (TBI), and symptoms may not appear until weeks after an injury or deployment. Fatigue, decreased energy, difficulty concentrating and becoming easily distracted can all be signs of a TBI.
Soldiers can contact their primary care provider, embedded mental health team or the TBI Clinic at Reynolds Army Health Clinic for information, prevention resources and treatment.
For additional mental health resources, call 580-558-8283.
